Beer and Food Pairings at Overtime Bar & Grill

Beer and burgers, beer and wings, beer and steak – have you noticed that beer practically goes with everything? Beer comes in a variety of flavors and profiles, which means there are endless pairing options. Overtime Bar & Grill has over 36 beers on draft, with plenty of great food/beer combinations to try! Don’t overwhelm your meal with the wrong beer, try our recommendations:
Jumbo Chicken Wings: Hot, mild, jerk, BBQ, sweet and hot, habanero pineapple, parmesan garlic, honey mustard and chilli garlic. What we love about our chicken wings is the variety of flavors available. With bold flavors like these, you want a light brew that will complement and cool the palate. For example, we recommend Tocayo Hominy White Ale (a well-balanced and clean beer) with our “sweet and hot” chicken wings. Tocayo Hominy White Ale provides a unique orange and coriander twist that blends perfectly with the spice of our sweet and hot wings.
BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich: Pulled pork sandwich and pineapple beer? Heck to the yum! We recommend pairing our slow cooked BBQ pulled pork with the Odell Tree Shaker Imperial Peach IPA. This brew combines fruity flavors and hops that add a new dimension to our delicious pulled pork.
Southwest Burger: While you would think a Corona goes best with southwestern flavors, stronger beers actually go better with spicy dishes. Bell’s Two Hearted Ale blends hops and fruity aromas to make an exceptional beer. This pairs surprisingly well with our Southwest Burger decked out with sautéed jalapenos, fiesta sour cream, pepper jack cheese and Pico de Gallo.

Overtime Chili: Our spicy homemade chili is made with kidney beans, black beans and ground beef. We recommend pairing Overtime Chili with Goose Island Bourbon County Stout; a dark blend of charred oak, chocolate, vanilla, caramel and smoke. This isn’t your average beer, but it sure goes great with a spicy chili!
What other food/beer pairings do we recommend? You’ll have to stop into Overtime to find out!
